About Scott Van Dyke Houston

As the president of American First Energy LLC in Houston, Texas, Scott Van Dyke spearheads the exploration of oil and gas along the Gulf Coasts of Texas and Louisiana. Concentrating on conventional exploration in the Wilcox formation, American First Energy employs state-of-the-art technology that goes beyond the hydrocarbon detection capabilities of standard seismic technology. Mr. Van Dyke also serves as president of United Operations LLC, a licensed operator in Texas. From 2001 to 2021, Mr. Van Dyke headed Anglo-Dutch Energy LLC, a company that identified, acquired, and drilled for low-risk petroleum reserves throughout the Upper Gulf Coast region. Earlier in his career, Mr. Van Dyke oversaw a number of natural resource projects in foreign countries that ranged from The Netherlands to Kazakhstan. Mr. Van Dyke helped to lead these activities in The Netherlands North Sea in the 1980s, and with his family’s business, as in Kazakhstan with his own company, Anglo-Dutch Petroleum International, Inc. in the 1990s.
